Cindy McGill: A Company Without Compromise

What's Goin' On?
If you are like me, you may feel like this is a very unpredictable time. God seems to be giving us direction one step at a time. The long range vision for most of us is veiled, and we seem to be in a holding pattern for the fulfillment of some things to come. But we can see that God is building our trust level in His faithfulness to perform His plan for us. Holding on to faith, we believe that this is the year of favor, appointment, change, and open doors. We can sense our lives are being divinely arranged, and we are being strategically placed for the greatest display of the presence of God yet.
It also seems to be a time of healing and restoration. Many have experienced discouragement, disappointment, and betrayal, but the Lord is blowing the whistle and calling for His people to come forth into their purpose. There is a charge to "line up" and become a force in the field. This is a day of deliverance and appointment. God's plan and purpose didn't end because of hurt or disillusionment.
There is much exposure coming that will uncover deceitful plans and agendas. People in leadership who have operated in envy and pride will find themselves replaced by leaders who will have the heart of the Father and can lead like a shepherd.
Unknown leaders who have been faithful in doing the right thing and have God's heart will be catapulted to the top. Places of refuge are forming, creating a safe place for people to heal, get restored, and join the reformation. These places offer an oasis of rest and refreshing where perspective and vision can be revived. These communities will breathe life and create a new starting place for the days ahead. Injustices have qualified people for a greater authority in the areas which the challenges have occurred. We will stop living in the past and start embracing the future that is filled with promises and promotion.
Identity Protection
Will the real "you" please come forward? Everybody is looking for true identity. There is nothing more liberating than being yourself. It's never wise to copy anyone else or imitate someone else's ministry. God hasn't called you to be them. We are getting free from other peoples' opinions. He is your Source, and there is a true identity that is being branded on your heart.
When we know who He is, we will know who we are. Living in true authenticity will not only liberate you but will liberate others. Becoming unshackled from the opinions of others will cause you to fly in freedom like no other. Nobody else is you, and it's most important to live true to yourself. The purest expression of God flows through the most authentic YOU. We are natural, and He is Super.
Did You See the Rabbit?
I heard an analogy once about a dog on a porch that started chasing a rabbit. As the dog passed other houses, other dogs started chasing the dog but never saw the rabbit for themselves. Pretty soon there was a line of dogs just chasing one another. God is specific about the call He has given you. Make sure you are chasing God and not each other.
Fathers And Mothers Are Arising
Even with the passing of one of our spiritual fathers, Bob Jones, this year, God is raising up a multitude of spiritual fathers who will have wisdom and experience to instruct this next generation. They have been through the battles and have a true heart and character to instruct emerging leaders who have ears to hear and hearts to receive council. I saw people with HUGE ears who are ready to listen and gain instruction. Listening is a big part of obtaining the victory. These emerging leaders are the wise ones who will heed instruction, honor the spiritual fathers who have gone before them, and develop character that will be unshaken when tested.
These spiritual parents will tell it like it is, and they have stood the test of time and faithfully come through the storms of life. As they lead by example, there is much wisdom and instruction being offered to the sons and daughters who will have the heart to listen and learn. A synergy will form that will cause this world to pay attention, and the outcome will be like dynamite to the kingdom of darkness.
There's Treasure Out There
I saw large groups of people gathering with miners' hats with headlights on them. It was really dark outside and everyone was getting ready to enter a deep cave where people were trapped. The lights were extremely bright; everyone started to enter the cave as the angel of the Lord went before them.
There are people in dark places in need of search and rescue. God will bless all of our efforts as we move forward and cause the path to be made straight. Working with the angelic help will cause us to have unprecedented favor and authority in the places we are sent. When those trapped in deep darkness saw the light, they were drawn to it, and in coming out of darkness, became a mighty force in rescuing others.
Isaiah 45:1-3 Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held – to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: "I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel."
A Company Without Compromise
I have a friend who was given a huge building. He wasn't even looking for a building and did not have any desire to build a church, but the Lord spoke to him and said, "You are not building a church, you are building an army to step into a movement." This company will not compromise in courage, faith, nor action, and as a result, will host the greatest outpouring of God's Spirit this world has ever seen.
There are many, many people in their quest for truth. This is a Kingdom effort, and many different streams will come together to advance this Kingdom. When we follow the "Spirit of Truth," who is Jesus Himself, God's company, without compromise, will move with His direction and power. This anointing will dethrone wicked kings and open double doors and gates that no man can shut. Moving in this strategy, the access to release prisoners from all kinds of prisons will be evident. God has His eye on His treasure, the ones He loves who are held as prisoners and slaves by demonic forces.
The anointing of Isaiah 61 will be the directive, to set at liberty those who are held captive and bound. Deliverance from wicked plans and schemes of the devil are overcome this year. God is showing up in the most unusual ways and displaying His power through those who are willing to take the chance to advance dark places with His light. The wages of sin have taken their toll on some, and the "fun for a season" is over. Now, the overwhelming desire to leave destructive paths is evident.
Chill Out...God's Driving
There is a certain assurance when we know the One who called us is in control. Let the peace of God take over and give you the assurance that He is leading you where you are meant to go. The last thing you want to do is to take over the steering wheel and get yourself into a situation because you were anxious and perceived nothing was happening.
Keep your mind and heart on the One who knows your future, and seek to fit into His plan. He is the door opener and closer. There is a timing and fit to the plan. Things are being prepared for you, and you will not only fit in the place you are meant to be, but you will fit "with" the people you are meant to connect with. Provision is already factored into this assignment.
These are new days, new assignments, new alignments, and new instruction. The best thing we can ever do is not lean to our own understanding but let God unfold the "way" for us to travel right now.

Paul Keith Davis: Defeating Compromise

Paul Keith Davis: Defeating Compromise
by Paul Keith Davis
Feb 26, 2014
One of the last conversations I had with Bob Jones dealt with our great need to remain true to God's Word and alleviate spiritual compromise. Bob was a man who clearly remained true to his beliefs and represented the prophetic Gospel with boldness, without yielding to the compromise of political correctness. I wrote this article based upon the revelatory encounter that he had and the understanding we gleaned from our conversations on the subject. I believe it is a very relevant word for this hour.

Defeating Compromise
Paul Keith Davis
Clearly this nation and the Church are presently going through a great shaking. Naturally, our first question is to understand the Holy Spirit's objective during this season. What do we need to gleam from these tests and trials?
As I have been asking the Lord this question, I was reminded of a prophetic article that Bob Jones and I brought several years ago. Much of our ministry has been centered on understanding prior moves of the Spirit to discover what was done properly and what caused the downfall of many.
According to Hebrews 13:7, we should study and contemplate the lives of our spiritual fathers and examine carefully the conduct of their actions. We are given the admonition to imitate their faith, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (see Hebrews 13:7-8). If we meet the Lord on the same conditions of faith as our fathers, then He will do through us what He did through them and much more.
Many noble qualities exemplified the men and women who went before us. They were great pioneers and forerunners who paved the way for us to enjoy the many spiritual benefits we hold dear. Nevertheless, we also learn, historically, that every prior revival has been lost or never fully accomplished its original mandate.
Scrutiny of these revivals will highlight one principal spirit of a diabolical nature that has facilitated this demise. It can simply be identified as the "spirit of compromise."
It is our belief that a portion of this present shaking is intended to help us address this undermining snare so that the Spirit's release that is coming can be perpetually sustained.
A Graveyard of Warriors
In Bob's original vision he saw many churches and spiritual movements allegorically portrayed as powerful warring women who had won many notable victories. Even so, he also discovered they came to an untimely demise. He was taken to a graveyard that held the remains of this army of God. Clearly, their lives had been taken prematurely without the full accomplishment of their destiny, and Bob's mission was to discovery how such a thing could occur.
The churches portrayed in Bob's revelation had been mightily anointed. They had won great victories on behalf of their Bridegroom. Even though these "women" were incredible warriors, something tragic had occurred to precipitate their demise. How could such a powerful, warlike clan end with such violence and certainty as characterized in the graveyard Bob observed?
This resulted from unknowingly embracing the "spirit of compromise" that facilitated the substitution of the spirit of this world for the Holy Spirit. What the enemy could not accomplish in head-to-head battle, he easily achieved through this deceptive snare.
This is actually the same strategy that Balaam utilized against Israel. When he was unsuccessful in cursing God's chosen people, he altered his approach. What he could not perpetuate in direct confrontation, he easily accomplished through stumbling blocks and snares facilitated through compromise.
It is our present intent to again highlight this blueprint of the enemy in hopes of strengthening the Church with the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that our heritage is not lost in this generation. The New Testament reminds us of this demonic strategy from the spirit of Balaam in both the Book of Jude and the Book of Revelation. It is a battle that we must learn to win.
Work In Daylight; Rest At Night
Prophetically, there are appropriate times and seasons in God. There is a time to sow, and then a time to reap; a time for working, and then a time for rest. (Photo via Stock.xchange by mckenna71)
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under Heaven – a time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build up. Ecclesiastes 3:1-3
Logistically, the Church has not been very efficient in recognizing these seasons. As a result, we expose ourselves to the spirit of this world and end up compromising our standards when we do not adjust with the ebb and flow of God's Spirit. There is a way that seems right and appropriate to man's reasoning but the end is destruction.
We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. John 9:4
Spiritually speaking, the day is the proper time for work – night is not. This is the general and universal sentiment related to the release of spiritual light into a grossly dark generation. While the day lasts, it is proper to labor.
In Bob's vision he saw Churches represented as noble women who had fought gallantly during daylight hours. However, they grew weary and impatient waiting upon their Bridegroom and eventually ventured out during the night hours and entered into promiscuity.
They had grown weary waiting upon their Bridegroom to fulfill His promises to her. Unwisely, they had joined themselves to men (who represented the spirit of this world or human reasoning) whose initial appearance seemed good and beneficial but whose hearts were evil. This resulted in spiritual assassination when these women least expected it. However, the question remained, "What led them to such an inadvisable decision?" Of course this is an allegorical depiction of spiritual realities.
After making these few observations, Bob desired to leave the graveyard, which was actually a shrine to commemorate our enemy's victories. However, before he could do so, a very naturally-appealing, "smooth talking" man approached him. This man confronted Bob with the confidence and assurance of a professional salesperson. He explicitly displayed a mastery of the human language and could easily deceive someone with this gift. No doubt this is the way satan approached the Lord Jesus during the 40-day wilderness temptation. (Photo via Stock.xchange by tatlin)
Immediately, Bob asked this man his identity. The man responded by identifying himself as "compromise." It was "compromise" that was responsible for the death of these powerful women. They had compromised the genuine for a counterfeit. They had substituted the revealed Word of God for the traditions of man.
And He (Jesus) said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.' Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men." Mark 7:6-8
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons; by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron... 1 Timothy 4:1-2
Despite the women's powerful attributes and their numerous victories, their strength was no match for "compromise." Compromise will always destroy the most powerful of warriors.
Samson was the most anointed man of his day; yet compromise in one small area of his life cost him the anointing and the many victories that could have been achieved had he remained faithful. It was the Lord's great grace that restored Samson in the end and allowed one final victory with his death. However, it would have been the much greater testimony to remain faithful to the end, giving no place to compromise.
Inconceivable as it may seem at first, this was the same bold form by which the enemy embodied the idea of entrapping the Lord by a compromise with evil at the outset of the Lord's earthly ministry. It was an appeal to the holy purpose for which the Lord came into the earth, but upon the grounds of doing evil that good might come. Satan offered the kingdoms of this world to the Lord through an unholy alliance and a compromise of the plan of God. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons by Ranosonar)
The Kingdom was to be won, but in the way ordained by God and in the manner foretold in Scripture. "Compromise" will claim to carry us to the goal we are destined to achieve in a way that seems expedient and convenient, but the end is destruction. "There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12).
The Death of Compromise
In Bob's vision, a holy jealousy and righteous anger arose in his heart because of the damage caused by "compromise." He knew that compromise had to be destroyed and the only weapon for this purpose is the same one the Lord Jesus utilized in His confrontation with this spirit – the Word of God.
The living Word is like a mighty sword that forges deep into the heart of this enemy. As the Scriptures declare:
"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do" (Hebrews 4:12-13).
With this discovery, Bob confidently walked toward "compromise" and allowed the sword of God's Word to fall into position in his hand and buried it deep into the heart of "compromise." It was "compromise" that had caused the death of the "warring women" (the churches). Authority from God's Word is now placed in our hands to destroy this life threatening spirit.
By grace, the Lord is releasing to this generation the wisdom and authority needed to identify and defeat this great enemy of the Church. This victory is assured if we are willing to obediently heed the Lord's voice and do the will of the Father. Faithful adherence to the Word of God will always bring death to the spirit of compromise.
Learning From the Past
Instead of being at home caring for their family, the "women" (churches and movements) allowed "compromise" to deceive them into unlawful relationships. There are appropriate times and seasons for the purposes of God. And there is a time to minister unto the Lord and oversee His sheep. We have been in a season focused on equipping the Body of Christ to do the work of the ministry.
In Bob's symbolic vision, the "women" left their post of duty and wandered into promiscuous relationships with the spirit of this world, resulting in defeat. Sometimes things do not appear fruitful to the natural eye that are actually exceedingly rewarding in the realm of the Spirit. That is why our eyes must be focused on the eternal realm rather than the natural. Otherwise, a door can be opened to the spirit of compromise.
Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. Revelation 2:22-23
The Lord is to be the Husband of the Church, and any relationship with man that usurps the rightful position of the Lord as Bridegroom is considered spiritual adultery. The spirit of compromise will always try to convince the covenant people of God to relinquish their promised heritage for a counterfeit relationship that seems appropriate at the time.
That was the teaching of Balaam that eventually led Israel into God's judgment. Balaam was unable to curse Israel, therefore he convinced her to compromise her covenant with God by intermingling with Balak and the people of Moab.
And Moses said to them, "Have you spared all the women? Behold, these caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, so the plague was among the congregation of the LORD. Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man intimately. But all the girls who have not known man intimately, spare for yourselves." Numbers 31:15-18
Ours is an admonition of separation and purity while patiently waiting on the promised union with the Lord Jesus. It is the counsel of "compromise" to lead us away from that position at all costs.
The "way of Balaam" is the covetous conduct of the ones structurally described as "hirelings," whose primary motive is to commercialize their divine gift. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons by Pieter Lastman)
Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness. 2 Peter 2:15
The "teaching of Balaam" is the teaching of the mercenary ministry counseling the Church to abandon godly separation and noble character in favor of worldly conformity.
But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who kept teaching Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit acts of immorality. Revelation 2:14
Very often, following this path will seemingly bring quick results and attract scores of people with much less spiritual resistance. Nonetheless, the conclusion after all has been done is death and fruitlessness.
Balaam taught Balak to corrupt the people who could not be cursed by seducing them to marry Moabite women and commit spiritual adultery. That is the motivation of "compromise," as outlined in Bob's vision. He could not conquer these gallant "warring women" in battle, therefore the only hope for victory was to corrupt them by seduction with the spirit of the world.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12
If the "women" had remained at their appointed abode, as was their initial responsibility, they would have become fruitful and productive. Because they allowed "compromise" to deceive them, their lives were ended and their children were left to be raised as orphans in an unsupervised manner. The Lord desires women (churches) to be loyal to their Husband and abundantly fruitful – producing offspring to the glory of God.
Compromise will always lead us into wrong relationships. Concession leads to death, while faithfulness leads to repentance, answered prayer, and victory. Even though the "night hours" seem long and sometimes lonesome, it would be compromise to depart from that place of responsibility and enter relationships unlawfully, leading to our demise.
With those conclusions, Bob departed the mountain, realizing the destructive qualities of compromise.
A Glorious Future
The most grievous aspect of the vision was the great future forfeited by the powerful women (churches) here illustrated. Even though they had been victorious and productive, their most rewarding years were ahead of them if they could have overcome the deceptions of "compromise."
These churches had been powerfully anointed warriors of the faith. The enemy was unable to destroy them during the "day" seasons, but only during the "night." If the women had remained in their post of duty, the enemy would have had no access or opportunity to destroy them. Nevertheless, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes with the morning light.
All of the strongholds of the enemy are designed to obscure our knowledge of God and His thoughts and ways through discouragement, depression, and self-pity. When our vision has been thus impaired, alternative courses are introduced that will seemingly take us to our desired destination but are not the "thoughts and ways" of God. We must not be willing to give an inch in our commitment to the Lord and our walk with Him – not even for the most noble of causes.
Through this prophetic analogy, the women lost their first love and compromised their chastity to follow the leadership of men whom they perceived would make them more fruitful and productive. In reality, their decision cost them their lives. Our battlefield is in the souls of men where our mind, will, and emotions reside. The weapon of our warfare is divinely powerful...the Word of God rightfully appropriated by the Spirit of Truth.
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
It is through faith AND patience that we inherit the great promises that are rightfully ours. The greatest days for the Church of Jesus Christ are directly ahead of us. Our desolate heritages are being restored to be mingled with the fresh and unprecedented release of God's great grace. Even so, Lord Jesus...come.

Kent Simpson: There is a Purging Coming: Why You Should Embrace the Roaring Rapids In His River of Love

Kent Simpson: There is a Purging Coming: Why You Should Embrace the Roaring Rapids In His River of Love
by Kent Simpson
Feb 25, 2014
This Is Your Time of Love
Many of us have become very comfortable soaking in prayer along the river's banks. However, I believe a few can hear in the distance an alarming roar within this spiritual river. Even God's generals who have been wading in the full depth of God's anointed river sense that something is about to change. This celestial current is beginning to pull everyone in; even those who have been standing around its banks waiting for something to happen now feel its enticing force pulling them in.
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. Revelation 22:1
The comfort zone for all of God's people is rapidly narrowing as every ounce of their love for God is coming under a great test. Many have already been stripped of their nest egg, and their prideful life has been thrashed. These are the very vessels of God who will find themselves in the forefront, for they have already passed a big test. They sold out their souls, giving it all to Christ, and committed to serve Him to their death and beyond.
"When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine," says the Lord God. Ezekiel 16:8
His Prophetic Word and Message:
The Great Purge of Love Prepares You For What's Ahead
"There is a purging coming, and if you are standing in the river, be prepared. For as it comes flowing from Heaven to earth, it will be a torrential raining of the Lord that will turn into a monsoon, bringing forth a mighty rushing river of Jesus' love. This will stir your still brooks and cause your river to turn upside down, sending you through a rage of rapids, bruising and pruning you, preparing you for what is yet ahead.
"Even though you feel you have taken a great fall as you come over the edge, the water shall take you down so that you may see what is below. You will eventually find yourself surfacing to the top again to tell others what you have seen and where you have been. They will know that you have stood in a difficult place, for the purging of the Holy Spirit will have prepared you as one whom He will use to shake Heaven and earth.
"Everything that is not of God shall surely fall, but for all that is of the Lord shall deservedly stand, for it will be built upon the rocks where the water falls. You will find that our Lord is going to use you mightily, but you must first come through the rapids. They are a place of cleansing, a place with radical and mysterious ways of stripping the flesh, removing every ounce of self far from you. All that will be left is I who dwells within you," saith the Lord.
"When the unbeliever sees you – they will have seen Me; causing their demons to manifest. Their words of hate will make your skin thick as the hide of a rhinoceros, but your heart shall remain gentle as a dove. For you will continually love them no matter what they do to you. For even if they were to split your back open with a cat of nine tails, you will continue to sing praises to Me, asking that I forgive them, proclaiming they know not what they do.
"You will soon see things are about to change. You have asked for the gifts and the power, and you shall have them – although, not until first you have gone through the mighty cleansing waters that will take you over the edge, lowering you to the abyss, and bring you back up again.
"From this cup you shall drink, and from this cup you shall receive that which I give unto you. But you must first go through this process before you will ever receive the promise. My promise unto the people is this:
Once you have the power, I will trust you with what you have to do for those who come against you. Those who have stalked My people and were viciously driven to harm My people will be touched with My love through your hands. There shall be others like you that will call down this consuming fire from Heaven. This fire is not a fire of destruction but rather overwhelming warmth of My love, releasing an incense of hope. You shall take charge and loose its saving grace upon all who are not of Me, sparking a fire that will take over the earth.
"There are many who are false in the lands that come as disbelievers, warriors of satan, fueled with his hate, but they will not touch you. For you will know that God our Father has given unto you a great and mighty eye to see around the corner of tomorrow, knowing what is being planned. As they hide in their secret chambers, standing in awe before the prince of darkness, they will make their plans. However, the transcending, ministering Spirit sent from Heaven will take you into their den of deceit to bear witness to all they plan. Then you will know what to tell My people so they can thwart the enemies' plans, so be it. Amen!"
Is This Prophetic Word Biblical?
I am providing you with a thread of verses from the Holy Bible that give balance and consistency for this prophetic word.
"Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits." Hebrews 6:1-3
"They said to Him, 'We are able.' So Jesus said to them, 'You will indeed drink the cup that I drink, and with the baptism I am baptized with you will be baptized;'" Mark 10:39
"John answered, saying to all, 'I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.'" Luke 3:16-17
"...who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderers' soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness..." Malachi 3:2-3
"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." Luke 21:25-27
"You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons." 1 Corinthians 10:21
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

Bobby Conner: Purified, Prepared, and Predestined

Bobby Conner: Purified, Prepared, and Predestined
by Bobby Conner
Feb 22, 2014
Days of Preparation
Beloved, we are in the midst of a great, divine acceleration in the Spirit. The Body of Christ is being prepared for a fresh, new day of God's plan. The Spirit of God is doing a new thing and we must be prepared to move with Him (see Isaiah 48:6-7). Although this process could take a long time to mature fully, God has been preparing us for this day for many years! We are moving into the destiny the Lord has prepared for us before the foundation of the world.
This is a season of preparation. The Spirit of Truth is dealing deeply with Believers, calling us to draw near to Christ Jesus Himself with a holiness and single-mindedness like we have never before experienced. The Lord's people are being groomed to encounter Him in the fiery cloud of His Presence, and God will be found by, and in, all who are seeking Him with their whole heart (see Jeremiah 29:12-13).
Truly, "deep is calling unto deep" (see Psalm 42:7). This is not the time to remain half-hearted and shallow: Now is the time to launch out into the deep and cry out with the apostle Paul, "That I may know Him" (Philippians 3:10), to be conformed to His image and to carry His presence. The Bride is being prepared to experience true union with Christ, to know Him intimately in order to be like Him in every aspect of our being, in spirit, soul, and body.
Revelation of Purity
How is this transformation happening? The Spirit of Truth is highlighting purity and uprightness so we may all walk in true holiness and the fear of the Lord (see 2 Corinthians 7:1). This lifestyle is not legalism but purity produced by love and loyalty for Christ the King.
Truly, the Body of Christ is no longer satisfied with knowing our Lord and Savior as a doctrine of our mental understanding. As the Lord responds to the hunger of His people, He is revealing the Person of Jesus in the inward parts of our spirit. What we've understood with our "head knowledge," we will begin to experience through spiritual revelation. And as the eyes of our heart become enlightened, our character and lifestyle will be transformed (see Ephesians 1:17-18). Integrity and honesty will become paramount. We will live each day in such a manner that greatly pleases the Lord (see Colossians 1:9-10).
Revelation of Strategies
As a result of this deeper consecration to the Lord, many will receive divine strategies for this pivotal season (see John 16:13). The Spirit of Truth is releasing revelatory insights for all who are willing to hear Him with a heart set to obey what He is requesting (see James 1:22). Prepare to see an acceleration of the advancing of God's plans and purposes. God will have a people of purity and power, who live, move, and have their being in the absolute authority of Christ.
Revelation of Destiny
Whether or not you feel you are fulfilling your destiny, you are being prepared by the King of kings for His good purposes. You were chosen by God and have been given a divine destiny in eternities past. Why? The Lord is calling you to partner with Him to shape the future of the Kingdom of God (see 2 Corinthians 6:1)! This seems almost too marvelous to be true, but it is the Word of God. Ephesians 2:10 explains:
"For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
What does it mean to be "HIS workmanship"? The Greek term translated workmanship is poiema, from which we derive the English word poem. Indeed, we are God's poem, written in ages past to be a living testimony of His presence on earth (see Psalm 139:16-17). Without exception, every Believer has been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has ordained for us.
Revelation of Anointing
The desperate cry of many Believers is: "Oh, Lord, let Your works appear unto Your people" (see Psalm 90:16-17). The good news is that God's anointing rests upon pure, upright followers of Jesus, and we will fulfill His purposes on earth. God has not only ordained good works for us, but He has also provided the grace we need to perform these works (see Philippians 4:13). We all have "an unction to function." Each one of us is anointed to fulfill the purposes of God (see Acts 1:8).
As we move deeper into this season of sensitivity and revelatory enlightenment, we must never forget that our calling and destiny, our chief aim, is to abide in our Beloved Jesus Christ, fixing our eyes on Him and Him alone. Only in His light do we see light (see Psalm 36:9). Only in His presence do we obtain a happy, holy heart (see Psalm 16:11).
Leaders With Pure Hearts
These marks of maturity are being seen in many lives, but it is imperative that leaders set an even higher standard for the Body of Christ. Purity of heart and purity of motives are required if we are to behold the Lord (see Hebrews 12:14). Divinely appointed leaders are emerging who have a single heart's goal to establish the King in His Kingdom on earth.
This purity of heart is an absolute requirement for every Believer and leader, because we are entering into a season of signs and wonders on a level never before experienced. But we must be on the alert: the supernatural will be displayed not only from the Holy Spirit but also from the dark side. Scripture warns that, in the last days, deception will be strong (see Matthew 24:24). Even though the enemy will attempt to deceive many, Christ Jesus will have for Himself a people prepared to do greater works (see John 14:12).
This is not a time for any Believer or leader in the Body of Christ to be humdrum, expecting only what we have seen and experienced before. We have never been where we are going now (see Joshua 3:4). We all must prepare for what is ahead: The call to embrace the awe of Almighty God. A wonderful, reverential fear of the Lord is returning to the people of God, releasing the wisdom of God (see Psalm 111:10).
The hearts and lives of millions are going to be touched and transformed by the power of God during these days, as God's people return to a radical love for Christ.
Amen!

Nancy Taylor Warner: "Do You Need Divine Guidance? There is No Safer Place to Be Than in the Center of God's Will"

Nancy Taylor Warner: "Do You Need Divine Guidance? There is No Safer Place to Be Than in the Center of God's Will"

"Abba, Father"
David wrote in Psalm 31:1, "In Thee, O Lord, do I put my trust." I have come to understand that the trust He is talking about is measured not only by the warm feeling as we sing hymns in church on Sunday, but by the choices we make throughout the week. Those choices and how we will make them, is greatly determined by the inner posture of our heart.
A little prayer I pray sometimes is just two words, "Abba, Father." To understand what these words mean, think of a little child in his father's arms. That child is not afraid that his father might drop him. He is totally secure in his father's arms.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father." Galatians 4:6
In prayer, I sometimes will spend time just focusing on the Lord and who He is, as I allow trust to settle in my heart. Hebrews 11:6 says that he who comes to God must believe that "He is" and that "He is a rewarder" of those who sincerely seek Him. As I hold these words in my thoughts, I believe into these words, and allow them to sink into my innermost being.
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
Another verse, Proverbs 8:17, tells us that God loves those who love Him. As I pray, I believe into that love. This verse also tells us that those who seek Him, find Him. As in earnest desire I turn towards the Lord, I believe into these words, that God is a God who loves me and who I can know. I can find His thoughts; I can know His will and His direction in my life.
I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find Me. Proverbs 8:17
Divine guidance is not just something where today I decide to ask the Lord something and have Him answer me. It is a continual lifestyle, where as I am yielding myself to the Lord, I am coming to know Him and His ways, and it is easier and easier for me to recognize the nudges of the Holy Spirit, first in my daily life, then in bigger decisions.
And the LORD shall guide thee continually... Isaiah 58:11
"There is No Safer Place to Be Than in the Center of God's Will"
I remember years ago, because of the neighborhood, the bank I used kept their doors locked. When I approached, they would unlock one door so I could go into the entry. Then they would unlock a second door, letting me into the bank. I would then slide my deposit through a tiny slot, just big enough for the money to fit through, to the teller sitting behind bulletproof glass. Then they would let me out, one door at a time, the same way they let me in.
One particular day, I decided I really did not want to go to that bank; I would much rather enjoy a pleasant ride while I listened to some nice worship music and drove to a bank some distance away, that did not lock their doors and gave lollipops to their customers.
It was a beautiful, sunny day, and I was anticipating taking that ride. But as I was preparing to go, I felt the check of the Holy Spirit. That check caused me to understand I was to go to my own bank, the one that I always went to, that was closer to my home. I did not understand, but I obeyed.
Later that day, I heard on the news that there was a random shooting which took place at a stop light on the very road I would have been driving on, right about the same time I would have been driving by, had I gone to the bank that gave lollipops. The Lord spoke to me in that moment, "There is no safer place to be than in the center of God's will." This understanding has brought me great peace in many situations since, as I have remembered the Lord's words to me. I am so glad I sensed and heeded that check of the Holy Spirit!
Obeying His Instruction
Obedience comes from a lifestyle of becoming sensitive to the Lord and His presence, through time spent with Him, and the practice of obeying Him. I have learned as much from the times I did not obey, as from the times I did. Both times I was hearing! Knowing that, platforms of faith were built where, next time, I was quicker to trust.
I remember a time I was in Ghana and the Lord told me to go sit under a particular tree at a particular time. I obeyed, and exactly what the Lord showed me would happen, happened, and so much more! A door of ministry opened to many churches as I went from village to village. How thankful I was that I had gone and sat under the tree as the Lord had directed me! There are relationships I treasure today that came from that one act of obedience.
Scripture tells us we are not to be as a mule, who has to be dragged in the right direction. Instead, we are to become so yielded to the Lord, that He can guide us with His eye.
Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee. Psalm 32:9
Have you ever had a relationship like that with someone? There has come such a level of intimacy, that you can tell just by looking at their eyes what they want, what they are thinking, how they feel. This is the level of relationship that the Lord desires us to have with Him, where that inner knowing of the Lord begins to govern our lives, guiding us in the choices we make.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye. Psalm 32:8
Very clearly, Scripture is a primary way the Lord leads us, giving us instruction, wisdom, and direction through His Word.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105
The peace of God is to govern our lives. There may be pros and cons and some unsettled feelings during a time of transition. Yet there is an underlying peace which surpasses all understanding that we learn to recognize as we walk with the Lord (see Colossians 3:15; Philippians 4:7).
The Good - the Formation of Christ in Us
The fact that we encounter trouble does not mean we are in the Lord's will, or not in the Lord's will, for in this world we will have problems.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
While not everything is good that happens in our lives, yet God works all things together for good, for those who love Him.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
That "good" is the formation of Christ in us. Trouble becomes a servant when we learn to respond rightly in the Lord's hands.
For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29
Scripture makes it clear that integrity is to guide the decisions we make.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them... Proverbs 11:3
In good times, in hard times – the Lord has promised to guide His people continually. It is not just in difficult situations, but also in those things we think we understand, that we need His direction. Notice the word "all" in the following verse:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Standing in Trust and Faith
I remember a dream Hattie Hammond had once. In her dream, someone brought her a complicated piece of music. As she looked at the complexity of it, she cried out, "Oh God, help me!" She put her fingers to the keys, and a beautiful melody came. Then they brought an easy piece of music, one she was very familiar with. "I can do that," she thought to herself. As she confidently started to play, the discord was so bad it woke her up! The Lord showed her it was not just in the complicated things, but also in the simple, that she needed His help.
We may not always understand everything that happens. We may not always know how things are going to end up! But we can understand that God loves us. He has a plan for our lives! He is all-knowing and all-powerful. He is present; He is not just the God of yesterday or of tomorrow – He is the God of today. And He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
As we walk in integrity, as we apply His Word in our lives, as we acknowledge our dependence and our need to hear from Him, there is a rest we come into, knowing that as we stand in simple faith today, tomorrow is also in His hands.
The important thing is that we are standing now in faith and trust, in the place He has us, today. As we do this day by day, we grow into a poise of spirit that will continue to trust the Lord, whenever, and however, He moves in our lives, no matter how big or how small our situations might be.
"Abba, Father!" These words may be, at times, the only words we have. But they are a powerful prayer, one that positions us to rely on our Father. This cry enables us to pray not words limited by our own thoughts, opinions, or understanding, but rather into the greatness of who God is, and His plan for us.
If you would like, please join me as I pray this Scripture:
"Cause me to hear Thy loving kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto Thee" (Psalm 143:8).
